Hotel Tirolerhof Zell am See by night, festively lit in a wintery atmosphere

Since 1975, the Hotel Tirolerhof has been in the heart of Zell am See, owned by the Posch family.

From 1975 to 1997, Anne and Walter Posch managed the hotel, during which they made several expansions and renovations — for example, the indoor pool was opened in 1989, the restaurant was built on the first floor in 1993, and the rooms of the original building were renovated in 1997.

After Karola and Christian Posch gradually took over the family-run hotel, further expansions and renovations took place: The Aquarena Vitalworld was built in 1999/2000, the rooms in the front part of the house were completely renovated, and the “Elements Panorama Spa” was created on the top floor of the Tirolerhof — to name just a few of the investments that ensure guests at the family-run Hotel Tirolerhof an unforgettable stay.

As part of a comprehensive renovation and reconstruction, our restaurant, kitchen, and buffet area now shine in a completely new light. Warm materials, modern design, and thoughtful spatial planning create a stylish atmosphere that invites guests to enjoy and linger. Simultaneously, the Vital Rooms were created — elegant retreats that offer a special feel-good atmosphere through their harmonious color scheme and high-quality materials.

Another milestone followed in 2020: With great attention to detail and a pursuit of maximum comfort, the Comfort Rooms were designed. These spaces combine modern design with Alpine charm and offer our guests the highest level of comfort and style.

Sustainability at Hotel Tirolerhof – For a Better Future

Sustainability is particularly close to our hearts at Hotel Tirolerhof in Zell am See. We are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and continuously work to make our operations more eco-friendly and resource-efficient.

Through targeted measures and innovative solutions, we contribute to a sustainable future – all while ensuring the comfort of our guests.

Our Measures for Sustainable Operations

  • Waste Reduction: We focus on recyclable packaging and prefer larger packaging units to significantly reduce single-use waste.
  • Energy-efficient Technologies: Since 2015, we have been using our own groundwater heat pump to sustainably lower gas and heating costs. In the future, we plan to switch the entire operation to renewable energies.
  • Solar Energy: With our solar system installed in 2016, we produce a large part of our electricity ourselves – ensuring clean and independent energy supply.
  • Local Produce: Freshness and quality are our top priorities. Therefore, we primarily cook with local products and collaborate closely with local suppliers. This reduces transportation distances and simultaneously supports the local economy.
